Me again Sean
An expansion chamber alllows the liquid CO2 coming from your tank to expand into a gas. Liquid CO2 entering into your marker is a bad thing( generally speaking, although some need liquid to work)
It causes all sorts of problems, not least of which is spikes in your velocity. This means your marker will be firing at greater or lower velocity than usual. Too fast, and the paint may breaks in the breech. Too slow, and the paint will fall short. You get a more consistent velocity, and you also use less gas. it also makes a handdy foregrip.
