expansion chamber?

Expansion chambers are commonly found on co2 based systems, to allow the liquid co2 that has accidently been drawn from the bottle, rather than gas, to expand back to gas. Some of the more upmarket markers that still use co2, don't like liquid co2 being passed through them, so expansion tanks are put between the gas tank and the marker to attempt to stop liquid co2 entering the marker.
Hope this helps.

yes

they give you a fore grip too (not to be mistaken for a gas through fore grip, which does nothing to transfer), your hose hooks into it(the expansion chamber) and it has stages to transfer from liquid to gas, they cost around $30 but for $50-60 you can get a regulator

the easiest thing to do is get an anti siphon tube on your CO2 tank, which will only suck gas CO2 outof your tank and not liquid, this will cost around $10-20

An anti syphon is like a condom..its only 99% effective!

It will still draw liquid if the bottle is too full, or you fire the marker with the barrel pointing down with a partially full or more bottle.

Systems such as the Whispering Death expansion chamber, basicly trap liquid co2, while it boils off into gas (you can, or could get plexi glass clear ones so you could see this happening!) therefore preventing it from entering your marker.
If you do get liquid in your marker..it will a) Shoot hot ie: velocity will increase greatly. b) get covered in frost and c) possibly leak and or stop working all together.
If this happens, keep the marker horizontal or pointed upwards, and fire it off till little vapour is seen escaping from the barrel.
Or, let the marker sit until it has warmed up, and the seals have defrosted and become soft again.

Or throw it away and buy an air system
