After checking out the schedule/seeding for Paris EXL - it has become obvious that, while we are playing a double elimination tournament - it is only 99% correct.
In a TRUE double elim set-up - the "loser champion" (the team that makes it to the final games after losing one game) is required to beat the "winning champion" (the team that hasn't lost a game at all) TWICE.
The reasoning is - the winning champ has not lost any games, and by declaring the "losing champion" tournament winner if they beat the "winning champ" in the first game - you now have 2 teams that have only lost 1 game each - so neither should technically be out of the tournament.
Any thoughts??
