For some time now there has been talk about how we take paintball to the people, how we introduce new players and how we evolve the sport we love. Now the time for talking is over……this is the time for action!

Balls Out Promotions are pleased to announce that we will be running several demonstration events at high profile national locations during 2009. Details off these events will be published as they are confirmed with the event organisers.

West Midlands County Show 27th-28th June 2009

The West Midlands Show, held every June in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, is one of the premier two day agricultural shows in the UK, with a fantastic range of entertainments for all the family, young and old. Annual attendance is in the region of 50,000 people and this year we expect more with our ‘children under 16 come free’ offer.

Balls Out Promotions will be running a 2-day mini tournament with a maximum of 8 teams in XBall lite format. The West Midlands County Show will be commissioning a trophy for the winner of the tournament with the hope this will become an annual event.

During the intervals between games, there will be an opportunity for members of the public to learn about our sport, ask questions, visit trade stands and take part in a short game. In short, we have every opportunity to promote tournament paintball to 50,000 people and do so in a fun and inclusive way.

Balls Out Promotions invite teams to express their interest in being part of this innovative event by PMing us your details. There will be a maximum of 8 teams (including one invitation team) with heats on Saturday and finals on Sunday. The tournament will be run on a full size Millennium arena, using a 2009 JT Millennium field.

Like my partner in crime said we have several locations the length and breadth of the country that we are in talks with, so keep ya eyes open on here and our website when its sorted. Don't worry as we have info we will not be shy with it. Good times ahead hopefully

Good work, Rich - getting paintball exhibited at big events like this is what is needed to bring new blood into the game, and it may also generate interest from outside sponsors.

Id love to sit and take all the credit but to be fair this is Marks work, and alot of work he has put in. We have quite a few irons in the fire at the moment with these sort of projects, and some other stuff aimed at grass routes level paintball.

I am in conversation with that venue although space is the limiting factor there.

Just to make everyone aware, and I won't be specific until we have 100% confirmation, we are in negotiations with several large events in the UK.

As I am sure you are aware, there is a lot required to secure a spot at these venues, not least the financial, health and safety and logistics side of things. I will however keep you informed as things develop

Right, Rich has said he is negotiations with several venues and events around the country. You don't have to keep piping in with suggestions because he is more than likely already aware of them.
