Evo Cocker tech help needed :-)

Gudmann

huh ?
A mate of mine has a 2001 Evo with a slide trigger, bought late 2001 I believe

It has not seen much use, probably less that 5000 balls shot, and even less of preventive maintainance.

He brought it out yesterday and the back block doesn't always come return forward. The trigger and everything is stuck in the back position.

The problem seems to be with the trigger, at least when lightly juggling it seemed to unstick it and everything moved forward again.

Any ideas on what it can be and how to remedy the situation ?

thanks

well

if its a slide trigger maybe the plates in the frame have rusted a bit!, if you oil them lightly and work the trigger a bit to get it workin smooth, this might help, i dunno tho, just a thought.
i thought all evo's had roller sear triggers:confused:

edit* and i suppose if you oil it alot, the trigger will get full of oil, and stick it, try cleaning out the trigger.

huh ?
Bolt is lubed...

He uses vaseline...

but perhaps not often enough, it was raining, so a bit of water might have gone with the bolt into the chamber...

I spent a bit of time cycling it, it seemed to be the trigger plate to me, but I'm no cocker tech...

Get Off My Field! NOW!
You might want to pull the three way shaft, and put a light coat of Dow 33 on the o-rings. Sounds like the three way may be hanging up on one of the posts, and sticking the trigger.
i had the same problem, but it occoured when i shot alot of gas/paint through it, the 3-way is most probably the problem, take it out lube the hell outa it, shoot some gas through it that gets rid of excess lube, and then change the LP Hosing on the front block, that could also be clogging up....

hope this helps.
