What is the condition of the E-Vents masks e.g: the foam?

dunno if theres a difference but is that one of the newer stiffi barrels? i just remember someone saying get the new one as if an older one was worse.. sorry for my much nooblety question.. but if it is a new one i should be ok to take it.
