watching the osbournes and jack bought an IR3 just to shot his neighbour in the arse with

its back to the old saying of "is all publicity good publicity??"

in this case i have to greatley disagree

many people cannot treat the sport as serious as it should be though the irresponsibiliy of small minority of individuals

id say it was very bad but over the last few months ive seen so many of these cases and these arguments on the whole 'is it bad or good publicity' thing that im starting to think that it really doesnt make much difference...

Didn't this happen ages ago?

Anyway, Jack Osbourne is bad publicity for pies too.....let's check the Fray Bentos forums for their reaction...;)

Why are you bothered about what a nut job does with a marker?

Its normal for someone like him.
And im surprised he got it working.

dont u...

reckon that if one of these well publicised celebs, were filmed attendig a p8ball tourney being generally interested in the sport, then maybe the bad would be outdrawn by the good?!

I agree Steph :)

We got good publicity when Will Smith was playing with his family earlier in the year didn't we :)

Think as sad as it is to say we need someone else like Maurice Gibbs to play ball, and love the game as much as he did to try and get it in the public eye

It's not Jack Osbourne fooling with the marker that's the problem, it's Jack Osbourne being in any way associated with paintball......... seriously, anything he's into can no longer look good.
I'm with the "it doesn't matter" camp now...........how many golf clubs and baseball bats have you seen used negatively on TV? no one blames the sport.
For christs sake, someone had to kill 16 people with a handgum before they got a full ban in the UK..........I think we are safe for a while, unless SP are going to power the nerve with sarin gas.
As for negative press......... big deal, press is press........ would they think it's all over be co-hosted by Tuffnel and Seamen if they hadn't had all that drug/adultery coverage? Everyone raved about SoManc on the same programme.......... but if you really looked at it..... it was still a marker being mis-used...... but I don't care, it was great and it definately brought in new blood and gave paintball some serious street-cred.
My only problem with the Hollyoaks piece was
A: It wasn't paintball, it was a group of blokes in paintball camo with real "war" sounds played in the background (machine guns and mortar fire) so it made us look a sad.
B: Ten minutes of Hollyoaks without Izzy or the Irish girl........dammit.
