Euromag leak

Hi all,

I've got a euromag which is leaking down the barrel it stops if I hold the trigger but starts again after I let go?

Anyone have any idea what this could be?

Also does any body know of somewhere or someone I could send it to?
So it can be set up properly as I don't really know what I'm doing!

Plus I keep hearing good things about mags so I'm dying to use it!

Thanks in advance for any help

First thing - apply lots of oil. Mags LOVE oil, so it's the first thing to try to resolve minor leaks. If oil doesn't fix it, it will be the powertube o-ring.

When you pull the trigger and hold it, the on/off prevents the dump chamber from being refilled, so if it doesn't leak in that state, you've effectively eliminated all of the o-rings from the on/off backwards. When you release the trigger, the on/off allows the dump chamber to refill and the only seal preventing the air in the chamber from escaping is in the powertube. It's an easy fix (assuming you have spares).

Degass the marker, remove the valve, remove the bolt, unscrew the powertube tip and (I assume you've got a X-Valve?) hook out the carrier using the valve field strip screw. You can either first try opting for a tighter carrier, which will compress the o-ring onto the bolt stem more and possibly resolve the leak (at the risk of bolt stick), or assuming that things were running fine and the leak has only just started, pop the (white) urethane o-ring out of the carrier, stick a new one in, reassemble, oil liberally, test.

As above, few drops of oil before and after every use is a win :)
but it defo sounds like the powertube oring, using the same oring drop down a carrier size 1 at a time, if that doesn't work its check the amount of shims in the power tube 2 is more than enough,
last thing is new o ring but remember to start off with the large carrier, you may have to work your way down in sizes until it seals again :)

Thanks a lot ill check it out and see what happens

I haven't got any different carriers. Should I have?

Do you know where I can get spares from because I haven't got any.

Thanks

Can you confirm it still has the original X valve fitted and if it also has level 10 bolt?

Photos may help

It makes a difference to the type of spares and method of repair needed
