Euro Angel Velocity – problems

Alright guys. Well the last time I was using my euro the velocity was pretty much all over the place between 225 and 290 I couldn’t get anything consistent.

Lips recently reshimed it so that wont be the problem and they also fitted a new hammer. All I have noticed is that the screw used to adjust the velocity is very loose when no air supply is present is that normal?

Any help and ideas are much appreciated

Could be quite a multitude things.

Assuming you are using good paint and all that malarchy, it might just need teching properly.

May I recommend sending it to Tom Allen, best angel tech ever.

Ok i get the drift could the dwell timings be the problem at all?

Its possible, but unlikely.

A very low dwell setting could result in inconcistency, but not by that much.



From that amount of inconcistency, it sounds like either dirty or damaged regs. Or badly set regs.

But without having the marker in my hands I am only guessing.





When you say you got it reshimed? What do you mean? Can you explain that further.

Well they said it had been over shimmed – so some were taken out and then put some more back in - the shims (metal thin washers) were changed in and out of the left chamber - side without the volumizer on.

Im not sure what was goin on there then but it could be a symptom of a faulty LPR.

Do you have an LPR gauge to check your LPR pressure with ?
