I'm not sure what the stock size of the Etha barrel is, however to improve accuracy I echo what Alexd says above.
What is more, you want to try matching the size of paint to the bore of the barrel.
Better quality paint is generally of a smaller bore, and so requires a smaller bore barrel.

I'm not sure how much shaft-4 boost barrel kits go for nowadays, but £100 should fetch you one, with a range of bore sizes.
The general rule of thumb when matching paint to the barrel, is if you drop it through and it stops partway down but can be blown out the other end, then it's generally a good fit.

I believe the Etha barrel has a bore size of .694? It is a good barrel to start with, but some paint sizes can range quite drastically, the biggest (and worst) was tight in a .695 freak insert and the smallest I've shot is .677/.679.

yeah ive read that standard its .692?? so about that, i mean i haven't noticed major curving on each ball but possibly 2-4/10 going off. i think im just looking for more consistent than anything, but i guess its possibly the marker more then just a barrel?

The idea for the larger barrel size from what I understand was that people who generally buy the less high end marker also buy the less high end paint, this meaning the larger bore will in theory shoot most sizes and shape of paintball

I wouldn't worry too much myself. I use a 92 eclipse barrel as stock on one of my markers and find it fine - the paint is by far the biggest factor! That said, a smaller barrel option isn't a bad shout, but don't spend £100 - a unitech 689 on here will be about £20-30 and shoot amazingly well (it's what I use on my main marker these days)
