i have experienced a technical problem with a two week old planet eclipse etek4 lt, and was wandering what the cause was? the gun is now working after i took it apart, but did nothing in particular that i believe really fixed the problem.

The problem is a leakage of air which seems to come through the upper chamber. there is a small amount of air retained behind the bolt, which can still be moved with a bit of force. the only way once the gun is degassed to remove this excess air from the marker (inc the bolt) is too remove the LPR unit. The marker will not fire and loose roughly 1000 psi for every minute the gas bottle is in. the battery is fine.

is it possible the gun has taken a knock and an internal part has become loose?
or the solenoid?
or that the wires coming from the solenoid have been pulled whilst the marker has been taken apart?

HELP! PLEASEEEE

I am a little confused; is there a current issue or are you just telling us what the original issue was?

Where did you buy the marker from and where are you based and we will get you sorted asap.

hi, sorry for the confusing message. i purchased it on-line at fat bobs but stupidly threw away the stickers on the marker that I believe hold the serial numbers (i might be wrong) and so panicked. The marker is only two weeks old and it did, on its third use start leaking air when the oops valve was tightened and it would not fire, but it did retain a small amount of pressure behind the bolt.

I then took it apart and put it back together again, and the issue seems to have resolved itself. I was however curious as to what it might be!? possibly the solenoid? battery? loose connections?

as it is working now i do not need to ship it anywhere but is there a possible diagnosis you could give?

Thanks

Thanks for clearing that up :)
The serial number is actually laser engraved/stamped on the back of the marker body just underneath the rammer cap.
When you say took it apart; what exactly did you take apart? Was it the OOPS, was it the body etc?
If it were me, i would not do anything other than ensure that you have registered it for warranty via: https://warranty.planeteclipse.com/site/signin
