Etek2 troubles

Basically:

Leaked when gassed up, the leak is coming from the rammer compartment, I had it looked at and basically serviced, and it stopped the leaking, he told me it was coming from the LPR. It had stopped its leaking and was firing but firing without gas... meaning the bolt moved back and forth it made noise, but the ball fell out the barrel.

Then when I got it back of the guy, and took the bottle off, it degassed itself while sitting on the table, when gassing it back up it would be leaking again, after firing it/pushing bolt forward the leak was sealed but it stopped firing. Maybe its an electronic issue, but it all seems very involved. anyone had similar problems/seen someone explode with rage from these problems.

Any information would be great. Also no matter what the age are all Etek2 covered under warranty?

Many thanks for atleast reading this!

There are a couple things about your post I might have misinterpreted, but I would suggest changing the orings on your rammer first of all if it's leaking from your rammer housing.

However, what you said about it coming from your LPR (the leak or the problem?) and the degassing on the table when you took the bottle off makes me want to suggest changing the orings on your LPR body (remove reg and unscrew the bolt holding the FRM in place to get at it, be careful cuz the whole LPR will fly out under the spring tension when you take the bolt out). Are you sure the leak is from the rammer housing not your solenoid?

Thanks for the quick reply and suggestions to get this thread going...

Basically Harold from team GBH had a look at it which was nice of him! The suggestion that it came from the rammer housing came from the fact when we managed to fire it the whole leak stopped... meaning things where just a bit out of place... I left it with him when I went and played... popping in and out of the tent... he took it all apart made sure no orines where twisted/broken and greased everything. I will have a look at the LPR and it is a good suggestion.

The thing is the leak stops when fired, then when degassed starts again, which suggests a bit of sticking which gets dislodged when fired... what you recon? where would this be etc.

your best bet will be to totally strip it down, clean off all the oil and re oil it all up checking for any damaged orings, not sure if this will void warrenty or not so check up on that first

if you decide to do this the planet manuals are excellant so just follow that and you will be fine, again be careful with the lpr, as you dont want to lose any parts !!

Just because the orings LOOK fine, they aren't necessarily seating properly. If it's coming from your rammer, change that middle oring on it and see if that does the trick. Let us know how it goes :)
