well im thinking about buying an etek and i have had a look at scars's pros and cons thread and i even had a look at pbreview but the best people to ask are the ones that use it soooo

whats the general consensus on the gun?
are their any little annoyances e.g eats air or has a tendency to stop working while in middle of game?
what kind of upgrades would be recommended?
what kind of problems have you had?
how hard is it to maintain?

cant think of anymore Qs but anymore things i should know would be appreciated

planet guns are mint in my experience. The gun works, its easy to mantian and their customer service is second to none. Spares are easy to come by, tech booths at most events, upgradable reliable, accurate... everything works and what you point the gun at gets shot...no ionesque area effect.

background music that you get when your are on hold dsiturbs me though.

Just dont mention COD4, or guitar hero..I hear they are all addicted to it.

-Brillaint, Very fast, easy to use, easy to understand

No LCD screen on back so flashes to set up... alittle loud....

what kind of upgrades would be recommended?
Cure bolt, Zick kit

what kind of problems have you had?
No problems at all

how hard is it to maintain?
Very easy... Clean bolt, breech and rammer, oil and off you go again

I would recommend a ETEK 2 if you can afford it.

whats the general consensus on the gun? - I love it, I got one as my first gun and it is fantastic.
are their any little annoyances? - Never had it break on me so reliability is not a problem, only annoyance is the lack of a screen but once you learn what the light flashes mean then its fine.

what kind of problems have you had? - none at all
how hard is it to maintain? - easy, only a few parts need to be removed and cleaned/oiled. Made easier by a very good manual.
