ETEK to EGO ooohps conversion, how do you get the guts out.

Early ETEKs had a little star plate in the on off, well just hanging there.. always falling off when the bottle is removed, well ive lost it now and you cant buy them, understand the remedy is buy a later on/off [DONE THAT] AND SWAP OUT THE INTERNALS...
How do you get the internals out.
Help appreciated? oh dont want to use the new on/off as a bad colour match.

I doubt that the newer Asa internals fit an older one... Perhaps post up in the wanted thread the parts you want or even a complete etek1 asa and strip the parts out of it..

if u go onto planets website it show u in the manual how to take them apart, your problem was more than likely a worn o-ring

Nope not o-ring early Eteks had a little star plate just sat there on the asa pin,, not fixed [honestly] without it asa will not air up....off to planet site to see if info will help.

etek 2 have 2 orings

etek 1 should have 1 oring

at a guess take the knob off the front and push it out with some thing thin from the hole in that end

correct, a small allen key will do the job
