Etek Not Consistant

Hi guys,

Etek was having abit of a fit over the chrony the other day... was being up to 10-20 above and below the normal or a conatnt rate...

Any ideas or guides on what to set the lpr etc too or any ideas what might cause it

well as far as I know the lpr screw should be flush with the lpr cover.....

cleaned it? got enough air?

do a full strip down, clean and lube of reg, lpr, rammer and any other bits you can be arsed doing. make sure you have 16 shims in the reg arranged like so: )()()()()()()()(

clean, lube, replace batteries, check you dwell and lpr pressure

if its the same as an ego lpr should be around flush (maybe a turn or two in wards)
dwell on my ego6 is 9ms i think, probably a little more on an etek
(because the dont have qevs? i think?)

OK cheers guys, not the best on doing a full service as not done the coruse on them yet,

How much would planet charge to do a full service etc? its under a year old

Well most of the customer service I have had has been good so they should only charge you for parts and shipping Unless there is something durastically wrong.

Having poor paint/barrel match won't help matters either
