Hi guys, i'd like to start out and say i'm fairly new to this sport so please forgive me ignorance when it comes to some of the questions your gonna ask in reply to my problem.

I bought an etek second hand off a trader on here, when i recieved it it seemed to be working ok but i never had any proper chance to test it with balls and all. When i finally got around to it i found out that when firing the bolt was moving ok but it doesn't fire balls. i took it apart to check everything was ok, adjusted the ASA and all air regulators to no avail, finally i worked out that the front macro line elbow and solenoid needed replacing. this has now been done but still it won't fire. The board has been reset and i've adjusted every worm screw and valve i can think of. can someone please shed any light on this for me.

hmm. well if you cant hear any leaking and you replaced the elbow and solenoid, the only place i can think that the fault is occuring is with the air moving through the bolt, as the air is obviously moving your rammer to move the bolt. sounds like a bit of a mystery. this might seem like a stupid suggestion, but make sure that the bolt pin is in the right way round, since if the hole in your bolt is at the top the air won't move through it to push your balls down the barrel.

out of interest, is it the original etek bolt or is it an upgraded cure bolt?

thanks for the reply Liam, i just checked that last night the bolt is a regular etek 1 bolt, long dart like, the hole is at the bottom, there is no signs of leaking that i can find anymore. i'll give my curebolt a try tonight to see if that makes a difference but i though better do the testing with the origional.

yeah of course. i definately aint much of a techy, but if the bolt is moving and there are no leaks i really dont know what else it could be. whats happening to your paintballs? are they just sitting still inside the gun?
