Mooching round the 50, with the flag
Hi just a quick question about the ramp mode on the etek ego.

There are 3 ramp modes

Now I take it ramp 3 is the mill setting (once you cap it at 12 bps) as it takes 7.5 bps to activate

But what is easier to maintain in terms of trigger pulls and retstart?

Ramp mode 1 or 2

based on the post from camdenelectric (from the etek manual)

Ramp 1 (Mode 3 on the Firing Mode Parameter)
This mode allows the rate of fire to ramp to a maximum set by the Maximum
Rate of Fire with BBSS enabled parameter, once the trigger has been pulled
four times at a minimum rate of 5 pps (pulls per second), and allows this rate
of fire to maintained as long as the required trigger pull rate is maintained.
After the last trigger pull, the ramp can be restarted with a single trigger pull
if that pull occurs within one second.

Ramp 2 (Mode 4 on the Firing Mode Parameter)
This mode is the same as Ramp 1 mode but without the one second ramp
restart.

Ramp 3 (Mode 5 on the Firing Mode Parameter)
This mode is the same as Ramp 2 mode but activates at a minimum rate of
7.5 pulls per second.

I guessing it's mode 1

personally I prefer using the mode without the 1 second reset time as I prefer to be able to change from firing quickly to just popping off a couple of shots, I feel I have more control, however if you want to be able to maintain a quick rate of fire and very quickly get back to the high rate of fire after a brief pause then ramp 1 is easiest, however with ramp 2 the activation speed is low enough that you can get it back up to ramping almost instantly anyway.
