you don't need to remove the pin you can take the whole bolt part and drop it straight in.
if you want to know out of interest twist the pin 90 degrees and it will slide straight out the top but cover the back of the bolt with your hand as the smaller pin on the inside will shoot out because of the spring tension.
Thanks for your help but I needed to transfer the pin to the Etek 3 bolt as I only have 2 pins and 3 bolts and had used my etek 3 pin in my tech t bolt.
I worked it out in the end so all is good with the world.
