Hiya, ive been having a problem with my etek and was hoping you fine folk may be able to help :) the people i speak to are not sure

Its a 3 year old etek and has done me proud but lately it has begun to leak air. when screwing in the tank it leaks out air from (what sounds like) above the trigger very heavily. Ive tried stripping it down to the bare essentials to see if i can feel the point it is coming from but no joy. when leaking air i tried to fire it but the bolt moves so weakly its clear not enough air is getting through to it.

(it did this once before when i went over board with oiling up o-rings within the main body of the marker, after a wipe down of any excess it began to work. that is not the case today)

In the 3 years ive had it, ive never had to do any real work on it or replace any parts all ive done are the basics of cleaning off dirt and paint, lubing up and cuddling it over night before a big game to show it i still care so i guess its over due somethign like this.

I've tried replacement batteries of course , a different tank and a reg, if you have any ideas on specifics i should check or change please let me know. i have heard i can send this to eclipse and have a checkup / service but they have not responded to my emails does anyone know if this is true?

Thanks

If its above the trigger, it will probably be the solenoid. Could be one of the small orings in there somewhere or even a fault. You could try removing the trigger frame, and lubing the orings in the noid and see if that works. Before this though, check the rammer for damaged or dry orings as well.

Just give planet a call and send it off to them for a service. As Stokey said, if its been 3 years, its about due for one :D

Remove the trigger frame, but leave everything else connected, then air it up slowly. You should be able to find where the leak is coming from...bit of spit on your finger helps.

Solenoid hose (easy), if they use a manifold like the 07's (not sure) then the screws on that may be loose that hold it to the noid.
