Hello all,

My friend recently bought a marker off here. Etek 4, about 10 cases of paint been through it so the seller told him.

After connecting air bottle and hopper, when you fire it the bolt pin jumps up causing the bolt to stop mid way through its firing cycle.
After taking the bolt out sever times and checking the pin is seated correctly on the zick2 shaft it still jumps out every time.

We took the zick2 shaft stop out to check connectivity and it appears to be connected fine (sliding with finger back and forth).

It looks like someone else on here had a similar problem...

However there is no solution. So before my friend goes off and buys a new pin, bolt, and event zick2 shaft is there anything else I can check or do to cure this problem.

Oh and just to add the impact side of the pin does look warn ever so slightly, could this be the reason why is jumps out the bolt?

Thanks in advance
Steve

Thanks for the feedback, tried stretching the spring but with no joy, might try putting something behind the spring to compress it some more?

From experience, stretching the spring can help, but after a few months the spring weakens again.
What i did to remedy this was put a small oring behind the spring. Smallest oring i found in the comprehensive kits.
