Hi PE dudes :D

Just got a new Etek 4 and a .50cal drop in kit for it. Used it for the 1st time yesterday (was cold out) and was using tournament Dark Sports .50cal paint.
It was breaking a lot in the barrel (which you can't shoot through as the fill is so thick) - settings are as stock (HPR turned down and chrono at 315fps +/- 3fps).
It was doing the same on Shady's and Alex's Ego 07's (with .50 cal drop ins) too using the same paint. Would you say increasing the dwell might help? Mine is on stock, but Alex's was on 15ms and still issues.
Switching to recball .50cal had no ball breaks so I think maybe the shell was very brittle?

PS - rocks using .50cal - 1.1L bottle filled to about 2800psi = about 1,400ish shots!

A Spire can hold 500 paintballs!!!

What do you think of it income pare with the axe or is it it early yet , sooty if this is off topic :)
Kinda different... I got the Etek + .50 CAL for UWL - only 3K fills for UWL, so with an Axe I can get about a hopper and 5 pods or so from it. With the .50 cal, I am getting almost 1,500 shots on the same setup. More paint in the air :D

Don't get me wrong... not saying the Etek/Egos or .50cal is knacked - just wondering if there were any suggestions to make the bolt a bit easier on tourney paint :)
Dark Sports rec ball paint has a bit of a thicker shell than the Dark Sports tournament paint :)

Only lowering your LPR output pressure. That said if you are trying to shoot paint that is too fragile you will always struggle.....
