Hey guys got a Etek 2 virtue board and I'm trying to install it in my Etek 3. The trouble is when I install the board the power button is continuously pressed when it is in position any one else had this problem. I watched some install videos on YouTube and followed them to the letter.

hi buddy

haven't heard of this before but if there's any button sticking then it might be worth carefully peeling off the rubber console in the back of the frame (where the buttons are) this should allow you to see if there is anything getting in the way or exessive dirt stopping the buttons from moving properly, clean it with a little but of solvent (to get rid of the original glue) then glue it back in place again

even if it doesn't help it rules it out

hope this helps

It's like the little red button that's on the board is to big so when you put it in the frame the button is being constantly pressed weird Thanks for the reply tho

yeh i know what you mean, but there is a little rubber extention to it which allows the button to be pressed from the console (sometimes is part of the rubber console) but this could be stuck constantly in the on position.

does the button work when the console is removed?

did it take a lot of force to get the board in to place?

it might be worth taking a close up pic of the board just to make sure it's fitted properly

Yea button works fine when it's not in the frame. Board slips in and out nicely. Yea its like the rubber bit is to long so when you put the board in place it is constantly pressing the button. Don't really want to start choping bits off or modding it as it should just fit. Very puzzling
