Been using the gun all day fine but noticed when I got it home I could hear a leak as I was cleaning it so I go to work on it and it seems to be coming from the exhaust valve seating...

I replaced the usual rammer o rings, the exhaust valve but on close inspection I think its the actually metal ring the valve sits flush against as I can see scratches on it hence my leak :(.

Just after advice and wondering what actually did the damage the plastic side of the valve looks perfect smooth as a babys bum but the metal ring if I run my nail across it has quite deep scratches definitely enuff for air to escape through.

When I chrono'd the gun I noticed the reading moved quite drastically like + - 20 I guess this would explain that maybe ?

Should you lube the valve by the way with grease just to take some of the impact to prevent wear the manual just says to keep it clean and dry with no lube.

I rang planeteclipse a bit dissapointed really... The guy on the phone was spot on both agreed that its probably 99% the rammer housing face causing the leak but I'd have to send in the marker to get it fixed instead of just sending the part under warrenty. Was Rob I spoke to actually spot on chap.

So it was postage for warrenty vs cost of the actual part.. I just bit the bullet and ordered the part.

In the mean time I did a bit of diy on it lol.. T-Cut plus 12000 grade wet n dry paper against a flat surface slowly but surely got the scratches out. It fixed it :p the leak has gone and the rammer housing face is gleeming.

Rob at planet eclipse said what probably happened was dirt made its way from the asa to the exhaust valve which then scratched the sealing surface making it no longer seal flush.

Might seem stupid but I wanted to fix my marker myself :p quite chuffed I managed to find the problem in the first place.

Just got a call from planet sorry forgot your name already :p.... to say they gonna stop the parts order since i dont need it which was very nice of them.

One thing i would like to know though is should i keep the exhaust valve clean and dry or lubricate it with grease or oil just to help prevent wear and stopping this prob happening again ? Or is this a common replacable part every so many balls ?

Cheers,
