Hey guys and girls,

This is bugging me!! What will be my next buy?? My set up so far is a dangerous power g3 se ninja black, upgraded trigger, guerrilla 68/4500 tank with myth 4500 hp reg and dye rotor. I love it but after using what i believe was a dye dm8 on saturday at a game of woodsball im ready to make that step!! Also got a tiberius 8 pistol and tippmann custom 98 with loads of modes from ops gear. Looks like a mean machine and shoots like a proper sniper.
Anyway, as i said i used this guys marker, he was unsure if it was a dm7,8 or 9, i eliminated it being a dm9 as it had the on off under barrel. But this thing was silent as hell and shot like a dream!! You were shot before you could hear where the thing was coming from!! That silence and accuracy is what im after!!
What ive been looking at is the etek 3 ego 9 or 10 and the dye dm9. I just need some help guys..... Im lost!!! Out of my depth!! Havent been playing that long and are looking to get more involved and im now un happy as hell with my set up. Thats a lie, i love it but ive seen better and thats what i want!!
Any pointers or advise will be much appreciated, but i think im gonna sell all me markers and go for it..
Thanks and please help!!!

If you go for an ego its gona be louder then a DM, but it will be a bit easier to maintain.

If you do want to go for a quieter gun then it will have to be a dm. If not have you looked at the Geo? Its like the best of both worlds?

Cheers for reply mello,

Yeah ive been looking at the geo, as well as the sl94, theres just so much to choose from...
I think ill go with the dm9 as thats what ive set my heart on i just dont wanna get one straight out the blocks and then see something else and wanna swap over again...
The geo does look impressive, is it as quiet as the dms??
As i said im quite new to the sport.. Im thinking of going to a tournie to watch and get more of a feel for what other markers there are...
Appreciate all your comments....
Not worried about maintenance of the marker as love taking them apart and working out whats f*ckin up!!

Yeah, going the ego/etek route would just spoil that quietness that you like, stick with DM's or a PM8, if you can find one.

Dye and proto guns do require a little more active teching for them to work reliably, but once you've learnt the in and out of it, it'll be perfect. Look after it and it'll look after you
;)

Someone who's actually owned a DM can post up and tell you what the teching is like. I doubt it'll be enough to put you off.

If you want a quiet marker then the regency chrome wins hands down.

Lump and myself tried one at the masters last year and both thought it was shooting around the 150 fps mark as it was so quiet, when we tested it over the chrono it was shooting 280fps.I couldn't believe it.

I looking into a new marker and there are alot of good ones about or due for release.

dm9,10
dye nt
macdev clone
regency chrome
geo,geo+ an geo2

Just remember egos, cyborgs and other poppit style markers are much louder than the spool valve type markers.

Maintaining a spool type marker is no more hassle than a poppit, you just need to learn how to do it.A dm bolt can be removed, cleaned and relubed in almost the same time as an ego rammer if you know what you are doing.
Look after your kit properly and it will look after you, leave it in your kit bag unmaintained and don't be suprised when you have problems next time you want to use it.

Hey bambulus how ya doing mate. Used what i bought from you sat and sweeeet!!

Im not worried about maintenace, always look after my gear, from day one ive always been told, look after your gear and it will look after you...
Yeah im definately a fan of the Dm9's, The NT and 10 seem bit out of my league and price range but hey ya never know!!??;)

You all have opened my eyes a bit and its great... Think unless i see something jump out at me ill go for the dm9, it just was amazing!! Used this guys dm9 and i was in love!! Was picking players off left right and centre and was as quiet as hell!!!

Got some things to do then ill be getting back home and listing my gear for sale so can start getting ready to fund the dm9... Feel like a kid waiting for xmas, even much so if a second hand one dont come up soon then ill be going down the route of purchasing from new!!

Great talking to you guys and ill check back later..

Bones....

DM9 all the way, I love mine. Accurate, smoothness of shooting and I can maintain the bolt with my eyes shut. Piece of cake.

DM9 new with a free rotor at the moment, you could sell the rotor for £80 to make the DM9 cheaper.

Yeah i saw that mate so Rang around this afternoon and everywhere says same thing - Dye are not sending many out as the Dm10 takes its place and the NT, Been offered an unreal price on a new DM10 i dont think i can turn down, Still would like the DM9 as could pick one up cheaper but i gotta shift some markers first before i can fund a new one!!

But... anyone you hear thats selling a DM9 send them my way... Im sure i could crack into the savings if the right one came about - just no one tell the missus!! More grief!!

BAMBULUS - Mate there sweet as!!! Bit big but only bought them to play some woodsball in!! They were perfect!! Plus bought them in great nick... Top banana fella... Now just get out there and hunt me down a sweet spot shooting Dm9!!
