etek 2 inline regulator

Got a second hand etek 2 off a guy, and i'm trying to get the inline regulator apart to give it a clean up, and it is stuck solid.

easy enough to get it off the gun, but i cannot unscrew the regulator apart. its at the point i'm cutting my hands on the thread from squeezing it so tight to try and get it apart. i'm also using an allen key in the bottom to try and get some leverage but the thing is solid. dont want to get molegrips onto it incase it gets damaged.

the technicians say try some rubber washing up gloves to get a good grip of the reg

if that does not work your next option is to trya vice and some molly grips obviously be very carefull not to damage or scratch your reg

mole grips was my next thought, but i dont want to damage the nice paintjob i'll get back to you on it,

i tried using a bit of cloth before to get a grip, but i just went and got the kitchen gloves, took a few attempts, but after the glove stretching as far as it would go, it just came loose

thanks for the advice mate, feel a bit stupid now for not thinking of that in the first place

hey i've had the same problem yet again. this time its really stuck, i tried the kitchen gloves again and it tore them to shreds. got some mole grips and put masking tape on the reg, still no luck and there are now marks from the mole grips on it because of it. think i'm looking at sending it to you guys for repair or getting a replacement, but at first sight i cant see anywhere selling an etek 2 reg on its own.
