Etek 1 Reg?

Hey,

I have disconnected my reg from the frame, but, i cannot separate the 2 sections of the reg, the last time i cleaned my reg it was easy to separate the pieces, but now they just do not want to separate

any ideas?

get a rag or a belt and rap it around the midle of the reg so that you can get a pair of large pliers around the reg with out scratching it , and then get your allen key and try to undo the bottem part of the reg.

Would a towel work?

and i know that with air bottles, you can submerge it in hot water to make the loctite expand, i think that there is gun oil that has gone hard(lol) and stuck the 2 pieces together, will the hot water technique work?

DONE,

My dad decided he was going to have another go, put 2 pieces of wood on either side of it put it in the vice, turned once and BAM! it opened woop

Thanks for all of your help on this 10hour+ quest of mine

But i might have to buy a couple of those adjuster wrenches.
