Currently using my ion, only now am i starting to use semi ( please dont slate

Just switched from eggy to an empire b2, finally figured out how to change all the settings but was just wondering if anybody could recommend me some settings for it for use with my ion, ie speed 2, microphone 3 etc, obviously i aint the fastest trigger fingers in the west so wont need speed on 6 ( hopefully that will save me battery life ? ) whats the 3rd setting ? the red led ( spring monitoring tension ).
