they operate by when pull the trigger the curretn goes into a solenoid which moves and activates the bolt to move, i dont believe they can wokr without battery cos the solenoid will not move
Stealths right in the description, they won't work w/out power, although some high end markers can switch over to manual. If your shooting a spyder or a clone, you can get a cheap one for about $45 (us). It won't have burst or auto, but its still gonna shoot faster than the manuals will.
