Elbow not biting on macro

Hi all, pretty new to this.
Got a new gat and reg, only prob is the line wont stay in the elbow on the maxflo. Bites on the gat ok but just slips in and out the elbow whether the collar is up or down.
Any ideas?

the elbow might be an older version. as standards changed from 6mm to 1/4" or the other way round

Both say a 1/4 on the collars

Sounds like either the hose or the elbow is suspect.

Try swapping the hose so that the end which is biting OK in to the elbow which isnt... if that makes sense.

Done it and still dosent bite, suspect elbow you think? is it a big job to change?

try buying a new piece of macroline. if all else fails, id advice you to PM tom allen on these boards, he does a high pressure macroline kit for £15

your hose long enough?
if its not long enought to get right into the elbow thats not biting , it wont bite.
take the bitten end out its elbow and then try the un attached hose in the elbow you suspect, push it right in befor tuggin it back mind
