R Ego's good straight from the box?
I was told this about cockers and spent loads getting 'em up.
When I say staright from the box I mean good enough for rec playing,or what mods MUST be done immediately?

nahh there fine m8,you might need a big bore barrel depending what rec ball paint you are using though, there cocker threaded

they are excellent straight out of the box.....not just for rec playing, they are tournie quality no mods needed.
as for needing a big barrel yes this is true, most rec paints tend to be on the big side...the standard ego barrel is a .693 which is a fairly big size, you should be able to shoot anything but water melons down it!

Get you wallet out, you won't find anyone wanting to swap one for a cocker. Guaranteed.

No one in their right mind will trade a cocker for an ego, so try n be realistic about it.. the ego is everything the timmy was 2 years ago but with none of the flaws!

They are so straight out the box there is practically nothing you can do to them them that will even get a drop of performance from them - most Ups for them are either harder replacements like a stainless steel ram cap so you wont thread your alluminium one, Bolts, Mounts with guages, and frames/triggers that to be fair most feel are more a down grade than an upgrade.
Rest is purely cosmetic.......

Only mods you might need are Nexus bolt, Stainless steel rammer cap (the standard one can become rounded fair easily) and clamping feedneck and as mentioned barrel kit. Then if you want throw the new Tadao Board or something similar in.

Why would you need a clamping feed neck? It comes with one.
