ego07/etek laser eyes?

If you focus your attention on this product:
Eclipse Ego 07 / Etek Laser Eyes Kit

If something fits an Etek, surely it also fits 05/06 egos? Have I got this completely wrong?

Why 'surely'? The Etek was designed after the 05 and i think 06 as well... as a result, it's going to have more similarities with the 07

it probs means theres 2 secs one designed for a ego07 and one made for the etek making them only fit those guns

The reason is probly something to do with the board software, if it was compatable i'm sure PE would advertise the fact.

I figured they'd advertise the fact if compatible with earlier models, its just I've seen some replacement eyes somewhere which advertise as being for the 05/etek, figured they were similar/the same...

The reason i heard was that the etek runs on higher voltage to the eyes than the 05/06 and there for i wouldn't work on them
