I am looking at getting one of these marks from eclipse, I have read a few articles and reviews they all give the marker a excellent rating, spoke to a member on my team, he said that the first models had problems with the bolt jumping inside the breach and chopping paint, and to solve this planet made an angled cut at the front of bolt, when I was at the euro indoor in Birmingham, everyone seems to say that this solved the problem, I was even lucking enough to have a go on one from a K2 member (cheers again for that)

I played a total of 3 games with it. 1st was brilliant shot great lines of paint consistence was create, 2nd worked till I got a chop on the bolt, then it started to be less accurate, cleaned it up was paint on the bolt and then played the 3rd game the bolt jammed almost straight away, found out the ball detent got caught in between the bolt and the breach.

Just wondering if any one else has had similar problems or any other problems with this marker, or even none yet!! :D

Cheers

Used mine in anger twice now. First time was at a tourny, no problem with the gun at all, had barrel breaks but these were due to paint being to big for the barrel. 2nd was at training on Sat, love the thing can't fault it, not a single break all day and shot ropes!
Walking to the start section was hitting the metal poles with 1 shot, awesome!

i really thought that the ego was perfect, it seemed to be that way in the first game, maybe it was the paint i was using or something ??? it just made me think twice about it!

cheers

I was lucky enough to try one on the chrono and I was very impressed.

It feels alot like the latest angels and timmys when it shoots, except its even smaller.

The trigger wasnt to my taste but I reckon it just needed a bit of adjustment.

I did see quite a few ego's go down at the indoor but I saw just as many other guns having problems too.

Overall a very nice gun, but every gun breaks down sometimes....

No gun with eyes is inheritantly going to be a chopper, barrel breaks happen and can sometimes look like bolt chops, with the mods and research PE have made I'd be very supprised if the chops/breaks were down to the gun itself.

Consistency

Well after shooting about 15 cases of paint personally :D at the indoor from all brands with all the gats available, I remember 1 ego that had to be turned down, I shot a string with every gun and every other make and model had some sort of problem at the chrony on field 1 but with the Ego not a single broken ball in the barrel or chop, and usually 4-5 fps difference over the 3 shots. Yeah i was taking particular note as it was on my list of possible new Gats.

Sorry to everyone with an impy i dont know how i break them, they just stop working when i get hold of them

Risking blowing the Ego trumpet too loudly they were so easy to shoot fast whatever the trigger set up and I hit what I was aiming at every time!!!!! ;) (yeah ok it was only 3feet away from me)

The only “legal” gats that were any quicker were the Jags E2’s and they were sweet……

I would have been getting an Ego soon but none of you lot would buy any absinthe off me so I can’t afford one yet….. But I have been converted!!!!!
