thoughts and opinions?? i have some money coming in the next couple of weeks and will be looking to buy a hi end marker.

would be interested to hear from the Nexus boys on this one as they are bound to be the best informed.

currently shooting an Angel Fly, and this is to supplement my stable. who knows, it might even replace the Fly!!!

mainly looking at pros and cons of each gun, backup is not a question with Planet's superb customer service more interested in how they actually "feel" and perform on field.

thanks,

i have both a ego and nexus cocker and i like them both
haveing said that the ego,s a lot lighter the the nexus
but depending on firering mode i use (i have a naff middle finger so hold gun a funny way)
in ramping the ego
in semi the nexus

i think for the time being promotion and sponsorship may dictate their choice of marker, what i want are concrete reasons (not opinions!) why the Ego is better than the Nexus, or vice versa, bearing in mind the Nexus cocker is essentialy as custom as it gets.

not really a whole lot more can be done to improve performance/effiency/whatever to either marker as far as i am aware.

No back block on the ego- so it's shorter and you can get your face right into it,

Ego is much lighter

Ego's maintanence is very very simple

Break beam eyes on ego

Cocker is the gentlest marker on paint i have ever used

The cocker in my opinion is quieter (sorry had to give at least 1 opinion)

Get the ego!

Sorry Brian, you were left logged in, above post was an accident!

Having used both and built both, I could bring up a thousand pros, cons and differences. One of the most basic differences IN THE FIELD is, well more precisely, off the field!

The EGO, is a high performance marker and will give you tip top performance right when you need it, but it is MORE important to be careful with you maintenance. (this is true of all recent Electro Gats)

The Cocker will give you comparable performance, albeit slightly heavier, but will put up with TONNES of abuse. With my old cocker, I could put it straight in a bag, tourny after tourny and pull it out for the next one and expect it to be on perfect form, right where I left it.

OK, of course this is not a text book answer, Im sure other Techs and people will disagree, but I'd be interested to know if anyone has felt the same over the years? Ever had a Nexus/Eclipse/Evolution that just kept on going, game after game?
