ego vs geo

Yeah mate. The Egos are poppet based markers whereas the Geos are spool based. The egos have been going since 2005 whereas the geos have been around since 2009. Both are massively popular with the latest versions, the Geo 3 and the Ego LV1 being used by alot of teams out there. The egos are absolutely solid, massively air efficient and require very little maintainence but they make a hell of a bang and feel quite large in your hands (personally i like this but thats just me) The Geos are alot quieter, feel alot smaller, some people would say are more accurate but thats a whole new story but are less efficient than the egos. To be honest, if you buy either of them you'll be onto a winner because anything Planet produces is solid gear. Ego 8's go for around the £200 mark, Ego 9 for around £250 - £300, Ego 10s for £300 - £350 and Ego 11s for £400 +. The Geo's im not so sure on but i think Geo 3's are going for around the £500 mark.
The difference between the egos varies really...im not so clued up on the egos from 5 - 8 but I know the 9 was the first to use the SL3 reg which is now standard on all eclipse guns I believe. The 10 has a slightly larger grip frame, different milling and board upgrades and the 11 had the cure 4 bolt, 45 degree reg fitting, POPS ASA, and new board. The LV1 has an entirely different operating system internally and has done away with the macro line from the previous ego's. To quote a team mate "its the f**king daddy" apparently. The differences between the Geos im not sure about but I know the Geo 3 has a much slimmer profile compared the to the 1, 2, and 2.1.
