The Upgrade packs have begun to leave Eclipse HQ in the UK and will be winging there way to you over the next few weeks. If you live in the US, please bear in mind that they are being shipped to our US office in Rhode Ilsand and distributed from there, so delivery will take a little longer than if you live in the UK or Europe.
Below is a guideline of how to remove the internals from your existing bolt and install them into your new Ego bolt:
How to install your existing bolt internals into your new Ego Bolt.
Step 1:
Using a 5/32” hex key remove the Screw from the rear of the bolt
Step 2:
Once the screw has been removed, tip the bolt up allowing the spring and plunger to fall into your waiting hand. Also remove the bolt pin at this stage.
You should now have the following components in front of you:
Step 3:
Clean the screw, spring and plunger as required. Take the new Ego bolt and drop the plunger into it as shown, rounded end first.
Step 4:
Drop the spring and the screw in behind the plunger, and tighten the screw to allow the plunger to have a spring return action. By holding the bolt on its end, you should now be able to see the rounded end of the plunger protruding into the bolt pin hole.
Step 5:
Insert the bolt pin into the bolt as shown, ensuring that the slotted side is towards the back of the bolt and that the air transfer hole is at the bottom of the bolt. Note the pin will not go all the way through the bolt; it will be stopped by the plunger.
Step 6:
Using a suitably sized hex key, depress the plunger so that the pin can be pushed through the bolt, so that the plunger rests in the slotted side of the pin.
Step 7:
You have now assembled your new bolt. Please lubricate the o-rings thoroughly using any light lubricant such as three in one oil and you are ready to install it into your Ego.
