Ego strip for anno.

Right. Just a quick one guys on stripping an ego for annoing.

How do you get the QEV's out. I understand they are loctited in?

Any easy ways to remove the barb from the FRM

Is the hey key screw in the bototm of the ego body loctited in, or is mine just tight?


Also any hidden o-rings etc i should look out for?

yes the qev's are loctited. they will undo with a spanner or knippex pliers though as it is blue loctite. be carefull with them though. I heve done both of mine and its ok.
Barb on the frm, also loctited but will come out with a spanner or knippex pliers. be careful again as if you rush it you may scratch the frm. model makers spanners are good too.
I take it you mean the screw holding the rammer housing in??? it will unscrew easy but sometimes they lock in because of the valve spring pushing back. It will undo if you just take your time as it is not loctited.
only O ring you may miss is in the bottom part of your front reg. look in the top of the hole and you will see an oring inside. It wont come out when you take the volocity adjuster screw out, you need a pick. The rest are easy.
If you are sending it to Sloth, Matt will go over it and send back anything you miss.
Like I said I have done 2 of my own and stripped and rebuilt plenty of EGO's and ETEK's and there really is nothing to it mate.

I found it was easier to replace the low pressure hosing on your qev's as well mate. I tried to get away with it and put them back together in one hit, as it was hard to pull off the barbs. Didnt work, so its worth buying a foot off Matt if you are sending to Sloth.
