Ego StarFrame - Maniac Board

Hi,

Just fitted the above to my 05 Ego and air appears to be leaking from the inside grips.
Any idea's where this is coming from, can't seem to find the problem?

well if it sounds like its leaking from the Noid, if its coming out the grip, or a QEV, but dont quote me on that, not a Ego tech at all

it could be leaking from, hosing from lpr to minifold, noid, minifold to front qev.

depending on your skill level, either, take grip off with all wires disconnected, and re-air, see where it is coming from. or get an ego tech to have a look. but i reccomend planet tbh

if all you did was fit a board, i'd say you've probably screw'd to the solenoid with you top rear grip screw. not a cheap fix i'm affraid

Well, t'was all boxed up ready to be sent to Planet...but I convinced him to bring it around.

Leaking QEV, fixed.

Leak on hose at Nipple end...hoses replaced.

He bought me Pizza

it beats me how changing a board can cause you qev hose to leak but nice one for helping him out

when you change the frame, you have to put a new one on (obv.) and in doing so, position the internal hoses into the groove on the frame top, so it all fits together. if you arent too careful doing this i can see the opportunity for a hose to become leake.

He had a leak a while ago but it went away.
I personally think, that by changing teh frame, it has disturbed it...teh QEV, I just put a new o-ring on a gave it a nip...the hose, I think was faulty all the time, as it only leaked when moved...the hose looked like it wasnt cut straight,so it leaked on the barb when you moved it.

So it wasnt the work that caused the problem, (I know that, because I did the work and I dont create problems!) but it did highlight it.
