Somewhere around the area of my solenoid i seem to have developed a leak. Not sure where it is coming from. I have replaced all the LP hosing to the FRM and the QEV's, the 'o' rings on both the rammer and the minifold and cleaned all the soleniod inners.

The leak is only very slight until i attach the grip frame (but before i put the grip on)

I have found that if i move the rear LP hosing about the leak gets worse, but i cannot find where it is coming from

Any idea before i ship it off to Planet next week please

You could try using (Sparingly) a mild washing up liquid soluution, while the leak is happening or a bit of spit...and look for bubbles...is the solenoid screwed together properly? Is it coming from the rear QEV?

You say it is amild leak, bt gets worse when you put teh frame on...but before the rubber grips are put on...does tis mean that the solenoid is being moved when the frame goes on?

I has a leaky sol prob on an 05 I had to pop it open and lightly regrease the rubber gaskets .good chance that thats it theres not a million things in an ego sol and that solved my problem .......Unless of course it's not actually the Sol ....ill get me coat

disclamer ..if your Ego then refuses to work and planet charge you a million quid to repair it tell them it was Skeets idea :p :D

Tried that and cannot find any bubbles although i can feel the air leak and it appears to be coming from the back of the soleniod area

yes it is all screwed together and no it is not coming form the rear QEV

I have tried it again with the frame removed and the leak gets worse as the solenoid is moved about. If you lift the tubing for the rear QEV out of its groove the hiss gets a lot worse

Hmm...now...I have only taken my Ego apart twice...but from memmory, like teh corners of my mind, there should be a barb on the back of teh noid...could it be leaking from there...try teh leak solution again..or spit (spit works coz its viscous or just straight washing up liquid)...on localised areas around teh barb etc...if moving the hose makes teh leak worse...then it could be a small crack in teh barb (sounds silly I know, but teh powertubes on Mags used to crack and they are massive in comparison) or faulty hose (i know you said you changed it) or maybe the loctite on teh barb is somehow not working correctly.
Try and keep teh noid still while you do it.
Post back.

Dont do what Dskize said, coz I dont want to get a rep at Planet for beinga nob!!!:D (well, a bigger knob!)

OK swapped the tubing out on the front QEV again (well actually i did them all again, but this one seems to have fixed it)......and it seems to have worked

must have been a bit of dodgy hose or something ???
