ego or etek ?

Hi alll
Can some one clear up for me what is the difference between the etek and the ego
And is it worth getting a newer etek against on older ego?

get either one buddy there both exellent markers and with the upgrades now available for the etek, you can bring it up to scratch with the newer egos.

Eteks are awesome alot easier to work with and will shoot well enough all day long and you will probably pick one up for good money now the etek2 is on the market

I just picked up a stock 06 etek, whoaa mama! this thing is quick. based on my limited experience with this so far (got it this evening, put a couple of pots through it) either would be a good choice, the only limit is your budget.

etek doesn't have the lcd board of the ego, but I'm used to led type marker programming so it's not a issue for me.

well ive got a etek on the way to me i bought off here for £250 and its got gloss ccu kit and im hoping it will do the shizz for me get etek m8,there execellent and alot cheaper then ego's

Not much difference between the Etek and earlier Ego's

Simpler milling on body, push button only on board (no LCD) and don't think they run a QEV on the ram so ROF is a little slower. Other than that they work much the same, and if my own 05 is anything to go by are pretty bulletproof. You could get a new Etek for the price of a used 06 Ego, but either would be a great bit of kit IMO.

Etek = Simplified Ego6
Etek2 = Simplified Ego7/8

Both Eteks can now be upgraded with the new Star frame and zick kits.

The Egos are lighter but nothing major. Had my Etek for a year and its great, looking to get the new one

£165 for my 06 etek, not as tidy as yours but still in good working order, dunno what you've had before but if it runs as well as the one I picked up last night you won't be sorry.

I'm just looking a few shiney bits to make it look bling now...

In fact while I think to ask how does the CCU kit fit onto the etek?
