ego 05 not striking the exhaust valve.. it seems like its in the training mode!! bolt only moves 1/2".. it started when i changed the frm to one with a gauge, fired twice then this problem occurred. the pipework is clear going to the solonoid block.

stripped the ram
checked the QEV's
clean the lpr
solonoid valve checked & cleaned
pcb swapped with another
inline checked

i think its a solonoid problem, can any one confirm or point me in
another direction

also can someome explain how the training mode works, as when training mode is selected the marker does not fire at all (will not cycle)

it was doing this after you changed the frm?

i take it you loctited the barb in the new frm? or was it already done? you may have loctite in the barb restricting the air flow to the noid.

if you bought the frm with the barb already fitted then swap back to the old frm and retest. if it works then i am correct. sent the new frm back and get the barb looked at.
if you loctited the barb in yourself then you need to take it out and look at it.

yeh want i was after was how is it controlled as my marker is doing just that in semi..

Practice mode just uses a shorter dwell, so that the hammer is returned before it gets to the valve.

An unnaturally low LPR pressure (or a partial blockage in the gas passageways, as jahlad says) would produce the same effect.

ok next place to look would be a qev.....if they get blocked it will result in a short throw of the rammer.
what do you lube your rammer with?
