I just bought a sl66 ego.
I gased it up today and its leaking inside the barrell.
When you push the bolt forward with your hand it stop.
I read in the manual that it could be the exuasht gasket but that seems ok after a cleand and lube.
I also strip the rammer and cleaned re greased. No diffrence
Should I replace the o rings in the rammer.
Also it seems to be coming from the back of the gun.
Cheers

Don't use grease or thinck lube on the rammer. Only use light gun oil as it will block the QEVs.

It could be the valve as apparently a realy small scratch can cause it to leak. If you fire it does the leak stop? Try changing the rammer o-ring (#11 i think) and see what happens.

Lubbed the rammer with gun oil.
I havent changed any seals on the rammer as i took the another rammer and slipped it in.And it still does the same.
its something to do with the front were the air comes in.
i have looked at the exauhst area and nothing seems cracked/damged.
this is the first time I have used it or went to anyway.

Im stripping it down again to have a look at the front area.

Not being funny here, just offering advice based on what I know;)

This gat was bought off me and was aired up and had two pods put through it DIRECTLY before going into its box and being packaged up so I know it worked fine (as I mentioned when I called you prior to dispatch:)).
The ONLY thing that was touched before packaging was the front reg being removed due to the 15 degree mount not fitting into the standard ego box.
This was packaged in the box but wrapped up seperatley.
My question to any techs out there is could there have been something dislodged etc that may be causing the leak from the barrel when the reg wa transported/re attached as this is the only thing that was touched after de-gassing:confused:

I'm by no means a tech in any way but I do know FOR SURE that it was sweet before I put it in the box. The tree in my back garden is still yellow from when i tested it out:eek::)

Just removing the front reg would not cause a leak. They are designed to be removed and refitted with out problems, but maybe something might have fallen inside and is now causing the leak.?

I didnt think that it would cause a leak really but its the only thing that I touched after shooting/de-gassing the gat before packaging. I have spoken to Stephen (the new owner) tonight and he has also said that he has done nothing except take off the grip frame (probs to adjust modes etc) since he got it. Its gotta be something silly as I know FOR SURE that it was shooting ropes before I posted it.

The leak has fixed itself.
I stripped it down for the thrid time.
And pulled the LRP apart by curiosity.
i knew it was from something down the front end
It was a like tight/maybe stuck
I put it back together and like i knew what i as doing.
it works.
Althought it broke some balls(cant blame you for that chef:rolleyes:)
It fires like a machine gun.
then my mum came out after hearing the noise and kicked my balls.
since her blue bin was a nice green color.
thanks everyone any way.
Chef top man
Cheers Stephen
