Has anybody else with an Ego (I mean the marker not any1 with an ego as that would inc.99% of the members :D ) Had any problem with the eye's as mine would appear to switch themselves off for no apparent reason other than its a realy bad time to do it:( .I was at a walkon at the weekend 3 ego's present & all had the same problem in varrying degrees, 1 was unusable, mine wasn't terrible but i had about a dozen chops (not paint breaking down the barrel) after the first 3-4 started checking if the eye was on & found it was off & I hadn't turned it off:confused: .
The guy who had the 1 which was unusable was shooting over the practice area & I was watching his screen the eye was on after 5-6 shots it swiched off, stopped firing switched eye back on same thing within a couple of dozen shots  .
Just want to know if any1 else having any probs?

Well I've had another tinker & have noticed that if you pull the trigger with a ball in the breach (but have no air & are inside the house )& the ball doesn't get fired the eye switches off, so wether something is duplicating this when the marker is firing I don't know, but could be a possibility?
John set mine back to factory with no probs m8 ,checked settings & only thing changed was the trigger filter.Although as i said mine wasn't misbehaving as badly as yours. will see how it goes on Sunday at Notts.Skirmish :)

The Ego is programmed to switch the break beam sensor system off if it detects a jam (or thinks it has). This scenario can be simulated by switching your Ego on (with no paint or air), moving the bolt forward so that it closes the breech and then pulling the trigger. Note how the BBSS will turn itself off.

Check that your eyes are clean and that they are properly aligned in the body - as these are the most likely causes of the problem you are experiencing.
