Is the Dart kit a worthwhile upgrade and what difference does it make?

It apparently increases efficiency and makes the gun smoother and a tad quieter. I have it on mine, but never shot an Ego without one.

People who have it say it is a worthwhile upgrade.

How about the impact on paint?

Hard to say. Shot some 7 month old paint on Saturday (Dark Sports something) and 2 ball breaks - end of the barrel as it was frozen. Some Polar Ice shot fine, but that stuff was too big for my .695 insert.
No problems with that. Not tried tourney paint tho.

From looking at pbnation, noone has reported issues with fragile paint.

Its 110% worth it, It does increase efficiency and is really good with fragile paint we have some in ours and you can really notice the difference. well worth it
