Ego Board questions.

Just a quick one, with some bodging would I be able to fit a board designed for an 07+ ego into an old 06 frame?

I'm not fussed about using the supplied mounting holes or anything and more than happy to work my own mounting method, but will it actually fit?

I'm think it probably should as the egos have only gotten smaller, but have never actually opened up any newer egos.

I've never compared the two boards but I'm guessing trigger operation will be one issue

got no qualms desoldering the microswitch (after market board) and re positioning it, so that is an issue I can deal with easy enough.

The Virtue OLED board fits 06/07/08 and the geo 1

07 and 08 boards are same size, someone has put an 08 board in an 06 frame. search youtube, was a while back

08 boards are a slightly different shape and dont fit pic here:

ok so I'd have to dremmel the inside of the frame out, possibly relocate the micro switch, and I'd probably cut off the sprung battery connectors and solder on a harness instead.

All seems perfectly doable.

Last issue I can see, the spacing between buttons, has that stayed the same?

the buttons line up in that position mate so do the 2 left mouting holes, its more agro than its worth tbh,

the star frame uses an 07/08 board

buttons same spacing, as it is the same for all models when you buy a virtue board 06/07/08/geo , the virtue board is shaped so it can fit all these models.
