ego asa

i was watching a video on youtube about ego maintinance and people kept commenting that you have to clean the asa.
i've never heard of people cleaning their asa and what is there to actually clean?

had an air leak once on my old one, unscrewed the on/off bit and the O'Ring looked dry so put a dab of eclipse oil on it, leak fixed. past that not had to do anything else my bottle stops the crap getting in during a game.

Yeah, sometimes they purge when they're not supposed to if the oring doesn't seal properly. It's just a little on/off screwed valve that you can take out and relube.
