ego 06, firing bolt only moving slightly forwards then back

Alright guys

basically, just bought this ego 06, the guy checked it out before he sent it off, and was a reliable guy, people vowed for him alot, sound guy aswell on the phone, so trust that it was all good when he sent it off.
Today received my new air bottle and was the first time i've had chance to fire it, however, the firing bolt moves about a cm forwards then back to its original position, i've checked the gun over and can't find anything wrong with it, has any ever had this problem, or does anyone kno if its serious or not, could do with some help as i've got a tourny on sat

is your lpr correctly setup? Have you changed anything with the lpr?

Sure you have enough air? can you test the bottle with another marker?

Have you reset the board back to stock and tried again?

Have you checked your orings for damage?

Are you 100% sure your bolt is clipped onto the rammer correctly?

few thing to check mate, let us know how you get on.

also try the training mode as suggested

defo sounds like training mode to me, could just have the dwell set really low tho (basically what training mode is i believe)

I would say training mode, or QEV's if it had them. Most probably training mode as if the previous owner was anything like me, he would have practised trigger pulling on training mode.

if its an ego 6 with the stock non purge ASA, unscrew the knob 1/2 turn or so, otherwise they can block the air flow using certain brands of preset.

But it does either sound like training mode, or more likely one of the diaphragms may have split slightly in the post as when this happens it sounds and reacts like the marker is on training mode.

cheers for all your tips, sorted the problem, swapped out the virtue board for the ego stock board, it worked fine, so swapped it back, and checked if it was on training mode, sure as..it was on
