Ego 05 REALLY low velocity

Hi guys,

My 05 ego is giving me a headache,

It won't fire properly, gas it up and pull the trigger and the ball simply rolls out of the barrel, it might go 6 feet or so if I'm lucky

Also, when I de-gas it it gives a small hiss then I can get 6-7 "shots" out of the gas that is left, some times I get another hiss from the oops after the first shot after de-gassing normally the gun only holds enough gas for one cycle after de-gassing

Any ideas ?

Yea it's in properly, the gun only makes a small pop rather than it's normal bang

Try changing your battery. Sounds like the solenoid isn't opening fully.

best suggestion i can give you is to send it to Planet, or are you at Uttoxeter at the weekend? If so email Planet so they know you are bringing an 05 with you and they can service it on the day.

Had one doing the same last thing and after a complete service by the legend known as Robert it was shooting sweet.

I'd try changing the battery first. If you're getting 6-7 shots after degassing it, and your marker is barely firing, then the solenoid isn't opening long enough to drive the rammer with sufficient force to open the valve fully, which is why no air is being released to fire your marker. Seriously, considering how variable batteries are, even if you put a brand new one in when you tried it last, change it. THEN, if it still doesn't work, send it off to planet. It sounds like an easy fix to me though.

Degas marker.

Reset LPR (Flush)
Reset HPR - Wind in Velocity adjustment screw (dont wind it into hard or far,until it gets quite resistant) Then wind it back out 5-6 turns.

Same thing happened to me with my ego 08 the paint just rolled out of the barrel or i got a very low velocity, and all it was a flat battery.
