Hope someone can help, want to be sure before i break something. . .

How do i change the macro line and fittings? The fittings are obviously screws but dam tight, if they just undo?? on the 05 ASA the screw looks to go right through??

Another 1. . .

i was playing at the weekend and if i didnt shoot for say 30 sec the first shot would have no velocity and wouldnt hurt a fly. the pressure must be about 100psi. after the first shot it would be fine. this looks to be a slow leak, just wondering if anyone has any ideas or had a similar experence?? the reg??

Any help much apprecated! :D

Check all bolt orings to make sure they're in good condition.

As a matter of course even if these don't end up fixing your velocity problems do the following.

Clean and lube your inline, clean and lube your lpr. Try a fresh battery in it :)

Also, what you doing not shooting in a game for 30 seconds man!! ;)

To change the macroline and fittings can be a pain in the backside sometimes.

The fittings are loctited in, therefore you really need to apply a bit of heat to the fitting close to where it is threaded in. This will weaken the threadlock and with a bit of force should allow you to remove them. I wouldn't expect to get them off and them be reusable though. I normally use a lighter and some pipe grips on the fittings and normally mangle them but they come off.

When you replace the fittings make sure you tread lock the new fittings in as well. See the 'loctite useage sticky' in the techroom for the best threadlock to use :)

Sounds like it could be a leak, or you are getting bolt stick. What lube are you using? Best to use something Winter-friendly like Dow33. Also check all bolt orings to make sure they're in good condition.

Its an ego, you don't get bolt stick like DMs etc? There is only one o-ring normally on there as well, which you use a light oil on not lube like Dow...

to remove fittings use an adjustable spanner, and some elbow grease
refit with decent loctite as suggested, i use 243 (blue)
the fitting doesnt go all the way through the ASA at all, the other side has a Blanking plug, which can be removed and allows you to have the hose fitting on either side of the ASA

also - to the inquirerer- remove you ram cap and bolt, get your rammer out, and check the orings on it. any that look dodgy, replace. otherwise, add and smooth over 1 drop of light gun oil to each oring, replace rammer, replace ram cap but dotn overtighten and replace bolt.

before airing up, back you inline reg adjuster all the way out, and then turn 3.5 turns in. this should get you at 325psi operating pressure and acheiving around 280.

if this isnt the case, come back to me.

while you are at it, make sure you LPR adjuster nut is flush with the end of the LPR cap, and set your dwell on the board to 9.5ms

regards

cheers for all the response guys, nearly!!!

i will try at bit of heat and some more elbow grease tonight!

with regards to the 1st shot thing, i suspect it is somthing to do with me as i had just serviced it (cleaned and re oiled...) my old macro line is a little dodgy as it had a leak from the fitting on the ASA which i manged to fix, so i think there could be a slow leak from there but i cant hear it? i could try sticking the fitting under some water?

about not shooting for 30 seconds, i mean before game start, its not good having your 1st shot bounce of a bunker...lol
