Ego 05 not cycling

Hi all,

I think I saw a thread where some had a similar issue to the one I've got, but I just can't find it (the search doobrey doesn't seem to work).

OK, the problem is that my Ego was firing fine no probs today, but all of a sudden what it started to do is fire as though its in training mode rather than in Semi.

When you pull the trigger, the bolt goes forward about 3mm, but not enough to push a ball forward of the breech. The same happens when you try to fire it without a bolt installed and the eyes off.

Battery is fine, and I've done everything except strip the solenoid, the QEVs, the inline and rammer housing (oiled the rammer).

Its not the air system as that worked when I put it on my shocker.

Any help would be apprieated.

take the pin out of the bolt dude and make sure the pin goes back in correctly. i did it like a tard n thought i'd broke it

check the orings on the rammer
dont ask me why just got a vague recollection that might help

Also check that you have not screwed your top grip screws through the noid.

I've fired the gun without the bolt and you can see the rammer move about 2mm forward then reset back.

The rammer o-rings look OK to me. There appears to be no-resistance when moving the bolt back and forth, but I haven't checked for debris in the rammer housing so I suppose I can do that next.

Dark Stranger:
I'm using stock 06 grips, there are two light marks on the 'noid blue plastic thingy but these dont go through the solenoid. The gun was working fine on Sunday then all of a sudden started not working.

If I don't get anywhere I'll have to sort out a service with Slothball or Planet.

try uping the dwell to 12

have you actually clicked the bolt pin into the correct part of the rammer, otherwise it won't work correctly.

You say battery is fine, have you actually tried a different one? Once the battery drops a bar it is best to change it.

Cheers guys, I swapped the battery (from a 1 bar used to a full battery), and tried the dwell thing.

I think the solenoid or QEV looks the most likely culprit but I've run out of air now, so I'll probably pop it in for a service.
