EGO 05 and the rf Pulse chip

Planning on getting an rf chip in a weeks time but wanted to know how well the rf chip worked on the EGO 05. Reason I ask is that some have had problems with the rf chip on the EGO 07's.

Think it should be fine mate, i think the problem with the 07's was that they used a smaller/different solenoid that didn't produce enough voltage.

Yeah 07 uses a mac noid with doesn'd provide enough voltage to the chip (i think).

The 06 and 06s are supposed to be fine

05 Ego's are fine. We installed a few RF chips into the 05 Ego in Toulouse and none of them had any problems.

I have one in mine and I use this:

It means you don't have to do any soldering (the harness you get doesn't fit an ego, or at least mine didn't) and it only works out at about £7/8 inc free worldwide delivery. Also, by soldering your board you'll lose any warranty and I'm sure I read somewhere that Planet won't fix boards that have been soldered if there are any problems.
